Above is my Nokia 8260 in it's unmodified condition. Below you can see listed what I've done to it.

Nokia Battery Cover/Belt Clip
This is a handy little device replaces the stock battery cover with one that has a spring loaded belt clip on it!
Thanks to Hadji/Mike for getting this nifty little thing for me

Blue LCD Screen
That's right, blue LCD screen (not LEDs...there's a difference) I'm getting LEDs too.

That's what the new screen looks like in the daytime and at night. I'll be getting the blue LEDs soon so
the dark picture will look a lot better, my keypad also lights in green, but it will be blue soon.

This is the Blue LEDs with the stock LCD. I have no idea why, but it looks CYAN on here, which isn't quite
the color on the phone. It looks more like the blue that is on the pictures below with black letters.

Well, after much pain staking effort with a soldering iron and some tweezers I got my super blue LEDs in,
the blue on the phone is actually much darker than what it depicts here, but it looks sweet!! The inverted
LCD with the blue filter makes the Blue LEDs stand out big time! Hope you enjoy this page. This site got
popular REAL fast, if you want the screen and LEDs for you phone, e-mail sonicman_2k@yahoo.com that's
where I got all my stuff, he's a great guy to deal with. Tell him "vector@bellsouth.net" sent you. :)

*** NEWS FLASH REGARDING BLUE INVERTED LCD ( 10/22/01 ) ***
Get this, I'm sitting around my house looking at what used to be my "Inverted Blue LCD" screen, because
my cell phone had minor encounter involving my clumsy ass, gravity, and a marble floor. Well the old screen
is all cracked and mangled now, but I had this piece of film that came with it. After studying this piece of film,
turns out it's some sort of "linear polarization" tint/foil...something like that. So I take apart my phone, which
is like a REGULAR occurrence now, and peeled off the foil from my factory screen ( which was not frickin'
easy ) and placed the foil from my "Blue LCD" that was about $50, and voila, my factory screen looks JUST
like the pictures above. I am trying to find a supplier for this foil, and I will sell it if I can find a supplier. I can't
believe they are selling this piece of foil with a $20 ( retail ) OEM screen for $50-$90 online.

*** YET ANOTHER NEWS FLASH .. I HAVE INVERTERS IN STOCK! (10/07/02) ***
Well, the time has FINALLY come. I got these babies out of the UK, and it was a pretty penny too, but
since I bought more than a couple...I got a discount, and I'll pass that on to anyone who e-mails me looking
for one! E-mail me at vector@bellsouth.net to get yourself one of these. They are $15 shipped to you via
USPS Priority Mail. I ship to the US only! ( Base price is $10, plus $3.85 shipping, 1.15 handling/packaging and
my time driving to the post office and dealing with those crazy folk. ) NOTE: There is an issue with these inverters
on a 3360 with Blue LEDs. I am unsure if the 8260 is effected also. If you check eBay for people selling inverters, they
talk about how they are NOT COMPATIBLE with Blue LEDs. However, I think you can achieve the same
effect as my 8260 phone by using WHITE LEDs, which I am testing in a week or so...check back for an update!

Well, I got totally bored and got a translucent keypad, as well as installed a flashing keypad! You can see still
images of the keypad in action above! It's really a nice light show. I'll have a reseller lined up for these soon. Don't
worry! I could be making a fortune on this stuff, I have lots of loyal 8260 readers on here, but I just pass the sales
on to good business people I meet I've got an MPG of the phone flashing, it's a little over a meg big, if you wanna
see it, click here. That's Gran Turismo 3 music playin' in the background. Great game.

Alright! My 8310 Look-Alike case came in. The first picture is it with all lights off you can click it for a
larger image of it. The 2nd picture is the faceplate with just my super blue LEDs in it, notice my original
screen is back in it, two reasons for this. 1) So everyone can see what it would look like on their phone, and
2) I dropped my phone on a marble floor and the screen and old faceplate were destroyed. HINT: Do not
drop your 8260 on a marble floor! :) The third picture is my flashing keypad in action, notice you can see
the lights across the top now! If you'd like to see a movie if my flashing keypad in this face plate, click here.
I scored the faceplate from www.daydeal.com, they also have the keypads too.

Along with the face plate came with a clear blue battery cover, so I went ahead and picked up a flashing
battery too. You can see a movie of this thing in action, here. You can also score this from www.daydeal.com, I didn't
get mine from them, but they've got a larger selection. I got my battery from www.hotbuystation.com because they have
a 950mAH battery, when DayDeal only had a 650mAH. If you don't talk on your phone 4000 minutes a month like
I do, you should be fine with 650mAH, the factory one is 920mAH.
